Mold and Health Problems
Excessive amounts of indoor mold can cause health problems in humans. Mold growth and moisture in your business or home can contribute to a variety of health problems for you, your family, co-workers, employees, or tenants. Over the past 10 years or so, hundreds of important, research based documents have been published that detail the many health problems that can result from moisture and indoor mold growth. Several of the most respected, important, and mainstream documents can be accessed from our wiki in the mold and health problems section.

Sufficient epidemiological evidence is available from studies conducted in different countries and under different climatic conditions to show that the occupants of damp or mouldy buildings, both houses and public buildings, are at increased risk of respiratory symptoms, respiratory infections and exacerbation of asthma. Some evidence suggests increased risks of allergic rhinitis and asthma. -2009 World Health Organization — Guidelines for Indoor Air Quality — Dampness and Mould
